Luis Alfonso Castillo —known to everyone as Johnny since he was 7— was born in Puerto Plata, but moved to Cabarete in 1986 in search of a better future. Over three decades later, he’s become a well-known and trusted figure in the local rental scene, he started with just 4 motorbikes, and now owns 17 bikes, plus quads and cars.

Johnny is also a proud father of 8 children. He regularly returns to Puerto Plata to visit his 83-year-old mother. His honest service and warm personality have earned him many loyal customers — some of whom return year after year to greet him by name, even when he doesn’t quite remember theirs.

Among those friends are Aitor and Rubén, two travelers from another beautiful island across the ocean — the Canary Islands. After renting bikes from Johnny and building a friendship, they decided to help him take his business further: they built this website, boosted his online visibility, and partnered with him to expand his fleet.
